Merry Meet all,
I think as long as Churches have so much power and they keep teaching all their people that witches are evil and devil worshipers, That we will never be able to " relax and come out of our broom closets" at leats not to everyone. Depending on where we live, it can be danferous for some of us. For example, we just moved to the South. Theres ALOT of churches here. I dont think it would be a good idea for me to tell my new nieghbors that I'am a witch. Heck they still cant get over loosing the Cival war down here. And alot of them still call the black people the "N" word ( I hate that word).
Its not really the peoples fault. Thye have all been brainwashed from birth. They start teaching this stuff very early in age. Its not only the churches that do this. Its the movie makers too. Like my husband says, scarry movies make better movies. So they usually always make us look bad..
I think our time is getting a little better though. Thanks to the Harry Potter movies. They also had a nice movies on tv last week called " The good witch" it was cute" if you get a chance watch it.
Anyways, this is only my opinion, Merry Part all,

yES THERE NEEDS TO BE A LOT OF COMMENTING, AND ESPEECIALLLY WHERE WITCH HUNTING IS CONCERNED. iTS NOT THAT LONG AGO THAT BUSH SIGNE TO AKNOWLEDGE OF WICCA AS A BONIFIED RELIGIOUS POSITION. wE HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO BE OUT IN THE OPEN ABOUT PAGAN BELEIFS AND HOW CAMN WE AQUIRE THE FREEDOM TO PRACTICE OUR BELIEFS OPENLY IF WE DON'T SPEAK UP IN NUMBERS?!!!

Why is no one doing discussions or posting comments? Friends, speak up, we have to keep these groups going are they will die. I know there is great interest in this subject as we have nearly 100 members! Speak your mind. Ask questions.

Cherish, I'm glad you went to WitchVox and found a group. I was pretty sure you would. It's nice to know that there are others around you that believe as you do. Many people just don't know where "the others" are!

Kallisto has the RSS Feed of this site on the front page. I occassionally read articles and do some research on the site but I really did not know that it had events broken down by states. I live in a very rural area and felt there was no one to talk to about witchcraft in person. Someone mention to check on Witchvox. Well, I had to register, no cost. It took a little time but I found a group that meets regularly ever week, less than 15 miles from me! They have an online group on Yahoo but I haven't gotten that far. I was shocked! I had no idea there were people in my area. They also run a store called "The Cool Store" and do tatoo and piercings. I'm going up there to the store first and meet the owner. I am very cautious about going out at night. I'm excited about finding this and that i would share this with everybody.
